One Happy Story Of Getting Love Back

Love will bring him or her back….provided you handle it right, that is. Here’s an example of a situation gone wrong that eventually went right. David messed up. He saw Stephanie chatting with his best bud Roger and concluded they were flirting. David got super upset and broke it off with Stephanie.

A Second Chance At Love

Actually, Stephanie was simply getting Roger’s advice on putting together a surprise romantic Valentine date. It hurt her big time that David thought she could cheat on him. She wanted nothing to do with him after what happened.

Now, you’d think there was no hope of winning Stephanie back for David after such an incident. Hold on. The story’s not over.

Since they weren’t talking, discussion was out of the question. However, there was still one option: writing Stephanie a letter. David put pen to paper and apologized, admitting he unreasonably blew a fuse. He went one better, telling her what he cherished about her and the relationship. The letter ended with David thanking Stephanie for her thoughtfulness in preparing the Valentine event.

Silence followed. David didn’t email, text or call her for one week. In not bugging her, he gave her space and allowed her time to figure things out. A week later, he emailed her a brief but sweet “thinking of you” message, keeping it all casual.

Stephanie was clearly crazy about David. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of planning a great Valentine date. Still, she was hurting too. David apologizing and giving her time to address her feelings enabled her to respond to the nice email.

The day she received the email, she phoned David. He played it cool, keeping the conversation light but interesting. Stephanie appreciated the effort and suggested they get together for coffee. David said yes.

David took great pains to look his best. He wore the tie Stephanie gave him for his birthday and put on her favorite men’s cologne. David was intent on limiting talk to just the positives, injecting pleasant memories into the chat. In inquiring about her family, he reinforced the closeness and history they shared.

Stephanie was grateful for this. She loved David and wasn’t okay with the way things ended, but she also didn’t wish the situation to happen again. Stephanie wanted reassurance that a life with David would be free of unnecessary drama. She also needed to be certain that her talking to other men wouldn’t trigger another attack of rage.

Both parties agreed to tone down the relationship’s intensity level. Essentially, they had to go through the whole courtship stage again. This time they promised to be more attentive to each other.

A year has gone by and the two are happy to report that the breakup actually did their relationship good. Even though David initially lost his temper, he later dealt with the situation calmly and maturely, allowing them to move forward. This just goes to show that lost love can indeed be restored.
